George Pelter

George Clark Pelter was called home by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, the morning of November 26, 2021 at the age of 75. He was born in Altoona, PA on October 15, 1946 and was a resident of Bradenton, FL for the past 35 years. He graduated from Milton Hershey School in 1966 and received his BS from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in 1981.

He was an Army Veteran and retired Pilot for the Division of Forestry. He was a lifelong learner who loved family. He loved to take walks on the beach at sunset, eat ice cream, play with his grandkids, tell stories, and sing the oldies.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Van A Sr. and Susan J Alwine Pelter; and two brothers; Van A Jr. and John C. He is survived by his wife, Julia; daughters; Melissa (Chris) Mack and Wendy (Nick) Rappeno; grandchildren; Owen, Lucy, and Sam Mack, and Jake, Drew, and Zac Rappeno; his sister, Mary E. Pelter; brothers; William H. (Beth) and his twin, Wayne T. (Julianne); numerous nieces and nephews.
