Eugene F. “Jeep” Kline

Eugene F. “Jeep” Kline, 94, formerly of Sawmill Road, Harrisburg passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at Country Meadows of Hershey where he was a resident.

Born January 21, 1926 in Sipesville, he was the son of the late Merle and Anna (Johnson) Kline and widower of Mildred L. (Wentz) Kline since September 2008.

A retired sheet metal worker from the former H.B. Dissinger, Harrisburg, he was a Milton Hershey School alumnus, a member of the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsman, Sheet Metal Workers Union Local #19, Philadelphia, and attended St. John’s United Methodist Church in Grantville.  Jeep was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and member of the Shellsville VFW Post #9639 and American Legion Post #1001.  He was an accomplished coppersmith and a long-term volunteer at the local food bank.  He was an avid gardener, and enjoyed shooting pool and playing golf with friends.

Surviving are his sons Glenn F. Kline of Grantville and James E. Kline of Annville; daughters Beverly A. Collins of Elkton, MD, and Diane L. West of Fayetteville, PA; sister Emma Jean Mostoller of Davidsville, PA; five grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a future date with interment and military honors at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
