Edward M. Wright

Edward M. Wright ’65, 75, passed away on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at UPMC Susquehanna. He was the husband of Charlene Wright and the father of Trent Wright.

Edward M. Wright, 75, of Antes Fort, passed away Saturday, January 29, 2022 at UPMC Susquehanna.

Born February 24, 1946 in Montgomery, he was a son to the late Malcolm Wright and the former Loie L. Barto.

Edward retired from Shirns Pontiac Cadillac and GMC as a service manager. He enjoyed attending auctions, fishing, hunting, going to Canada with friends, riding snowmobiles, and most importantly spending time with his family and grandchildren. Ed will always be remembered for being an amazing father, grandfather, and friend to many. Ed had a loving and kind spirit that will never be forgotten.

He is survived by his wife, the former Charlene E. Laubach, they were united in marriage on July 29, 1972 in Mill Hall; a son, Trent E. Wright of Trout Run; brothers, Charles and Michael Wright, both of Montgomery; sister, Holly Hoover of Watsontown; and two grandchildren, William “Willy” and Julianna “Rose bud.”

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at UPMC who cared for him so lovingly. Your consideration is very much appreciated and will always be remembered.

A time of visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday evening, February 3, 2022 at Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore. Private services and burial will be held in the Rest Haven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or the Lycoming County SPCA.
