Edward Clyde Miller

Edward Clyde Miller, 79, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 19, 2021, after suffering a heart attack in his home.

Ed was born in Irwin Township, Pennsylvania on January 24, 1942 to James Calvin Miller and Mabel Evangeline Benson – Miller. He was the brother of Jim Miller and Calvin Miller, and half brother to Reatha May Payne. He was the husband of Patricia Nye Miller.

Ed was the father to two biological children – Kristine Hope Lehne and Kyle Edward Miller. Ed was the father-in-law to Bill Lehne – husband to Kristine – and Wendy Miller – wife to Kyle. He was blessed with 10 grandchildren: William (Billy), Allison, Jeffrey, Timothy, Abigail, Angela, Abriana and Julius Lehne – of William and Kristine – and Amanda Davis and Courtney Heller – of Kyle and Wendy. He was also blessed with three great grandchildren: Elodie Regan Lehne, Liam James Dey and Colton Trey Davis.

Ed was a determined, generous man who provided well for his family and built and maintained a reputation of honor. He was an incredibly strong man and, after being orphaned at a young age, overcame his circumstances and graduated from the Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA. After graduating, he served three years in the Army before becoming a Civilian Service Employee and retired as the Quality Assurance Director of Armaments. He loved to serve others breakfast, helped others with their needs, and loved to enter lively conversations about politics and the stock market. He was known for his love of children and his many animals, including his dogs – Fido, Koko, Shoo Shoo, Kricket, Koby, and Katy.
