Donald S. Chappell
Donald S. Chappell ’70, 69, passed away Monday, October 3, 2022, in his home. He was the father of Tiffany K. Look and Klinton Rock Chappell.
Born in Pottstown, on October 30, 1952, he was the son of the late Alfred and Florence Hollowbush Chappell.
Don retired from NVWC, Navel Underwater Warfare, Silverdale Washington, as a logistical Manager. After retiring, Don worked for the American Red Cross, then became a substitute teacher for the Lower Dauphin School District. He earned a master’s degree in Public Affairs, from Indiana University – Purdue University Indianapolis, his bachelor’s in Public Management, from Indiana University – Purdue University Indianapolis, and was a 1970 graduate of Milton Hershey. Don was a Marine Corps veteran, serving in the Vietnam War as a Cpl. He was a member of Milton Hershey Alumni, or as he called them “the Milton Hershey Boys”, and volunteered at Home Improvements Ministry, Cross Point Church Food Bank Ministries, and The Special Olympics.
Don was an avid sports enthusiast. He coached softball for over 30 years, and baseball when his grandsons began to play.
Don loved to watch wrestling, and was a huge supporter of all Lower Dauphin Sports teams.
Don is survived by two children, Tiffany K. Look partner of Patrick Lyons of Hershey, and Klinton Rock Chappell husband of Cassiopeia Miano of Hummelstown; two grandchildren, Nathan and Graydon Look; a great granddaughter, Layla Look and her mother Sophia Wright; two brothers, Ronald Chappell husband of Brenda of Douglassville, and Barry Chappell of Allentown; and a sister, Donna Chappell of Rawlins, WY.
In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by a son, Donald Bozo Chappell; and a brother Lester Endy.
Services will be held Friday, October 14, 2022, at 12 PM in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown. Visitation will be in the funeral home Friday from 11 AM until time of the service.

The Family will be holding a Gathering and Celebration of Life at a later date.
