Dennis Horsefield

Dennis Horsefield, 60, of Berwick, died Sunday, February 2, 2020 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, after a six-year battle with pancreatic cancer. Born August 10, 1959 in Berwick, he was the son of the late Paul and Charlotte (Ridall) Horsefield. A graduate of Milton Hershey High School, Class of 1977, Mr. Horsefield went on to serve in the U.S. Army. He was employed as a machinist at Berwick Offrey for 33 years.

Dennis was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Berwick. A softball player for many years, he coached Little League and Teener League and also was an umpire. He enjoyed bowling and was a coach, as well as a fan of the Minnesota Vikings and the New York Mets.Dennis was a dedicated husband and father, and especially cherished spending time with his wife and sons. He enthusiastically supported and encouraged his boys in baseball.

Preceding him in death were his two brothers: Douglas, his twin, and Michael Horsefield. Surviving are his wife of 25 years, the former Mary Susan Uhrin; and his two sons: Tyler Horsefield and Austin Horsefield, both of Berwick.
