David Hankins

David A. Hankins, Sr. passed away on October 22, 2021. He is survived by his son, David Hankins, and wife Valerie Hankins; his daughter, Donna Pyne and husband Dave Pyne; his eldest granddaughter and husband, Amanda and Robert Rettig; great-granddaughters, Savannah, Laura, Elizabeth, and Marie; his granddaughter and husband, Candice and Joey Leyanna; great-grandsons, Carter and Owen; his grandson and soon to be wife, Michael Pyne, and Victoria (Bowler).

David will be greeted in heaven by his wife of 65 years, Jean; and his granddaughter, Rachel Hankins; along with his brothers and sister.

He and his twin brother, Paul were born June 30, 1932. After his mother’s passing, he went to Milton Hersey School for Boys where he graduated in 1950. Shortly after graduating, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He was a veteran and very proud of his military service. After his time in the service, he became an Electrician and member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 313. David Hankins was a kind and loving man. He had an excellent sense of humor. He loved his family, traveling, watching Purple Martins, his dogs, and was a great listener.
