Daniel R. Hollinger ’78, 61, passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2020. He was the husband of Mary Jane Hollinger.

Daniel R. Hollinger, 61, of Hopewell, passed away on December 1, 2020.  He was born in Roaring Spring, PA, a son of the late Donald Elwood Hollinger, mother Betty Louise (Barrett) and step-father Spike Burkett.

On April 19, 1982 in Winchester, VA he married Mary Jane (Kiefman) Hollinger.  She survives along with the following family: a sister Mary Burkett of Elizabeth City, N.C., and a brother Shannon Burkett of Waldorf, M.D.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Dave Hollinger and two sisters: Sandy Hollinger and Cindy Hollinger.

He was a 1978 graduate of The Milton Hershey School.  He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.  He loved all holidays, especially Christmas.  He enjoyed watching deer, birds, and geese.  He liked playing golf and especially loved his family and his pets.

He was a member of The Hopewell Grace Brethren Church where he enjoyed singing in the choir.

A private service will be held with burial at Hopewell Cemetery. If friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to The Bedford County Humane Society, 182 Bohn Road, Bedford, PA 15522.
