Calvin E. Ocker

Calvin E. Ocker ’47, 83, passed away on Friday, January 11, 2013 at Ephrata Manor. He was the husband of Pauline Cooper.

Calvin E. Ocker, 83, of Ephrata, PA, passed away on Friday, January 11, 2013 at Ephrata Manor after a short illness.

Calvin was the husband of Pauline E. (Cooper) Ocker and son of the late John A. and Wilamena (Stigler) Ocker.

He was a member of the Jehovas Witnesses Ephrata Congregation and worked as an Installer for the former Denver and Ephrata Telephone Company for 40 years.

Calvin enjoyed model airplanes and boating.

In addition to his wife Pauline, he is survived by a daughter, two sons, two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Brandon J. Ocker, a sister, Shirley Ocker, and a brother, John A. Ocker, Jr.

Friends will be received at Paul L. Gravenor Home For Funerals, 100 W. Main St., Ephrata, PA from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 15.

Memorial services will follow at 12:30 p.m.

Place of interment will be Mt. Zion Evangelical Cemetery in Akron, PA.
