Thomas L. Davidson

Thomas Lee Davidson, 68, of Wilson Mill Road, New Castle, PA, passed away at his residence on April 4, 2019.

Tom was born in New Castle on July 13, 1950, to the late James Mehard Davidson and Martha Francis Jackson Davidson.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Grossheim Davidson, whom he married on July 15, 1988. Tom is also survived by a sister, Norma Jean Wilcox of New Castle; a brother, Robert James (Carole) Davidson of Erie; his sister-in-law, Elizabeth L. Grossheim of Lower Burrell, Pennsylvania; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Tom was a 1968 graduate of Milton Hershey School in Hershey. He earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Westminster College in 1972.

After graduating from college, Tom was drafted into the Army. He was stationed in Germany as a Pershing Missile Azimuth Layer.

After his honorable discharge, Tom began his professional career as a foreman at Youngstown Sheet and Tube Company. He also worked for various companies in the accounting and finance field, before finally retiring as the controller of Vinyl Profiles LLC, in North Jackson, Ohio, in 2012.

Tom was an avid sports fan, having played football, basketball and baseball throughout high school, college and locally. Later in life, he took up golf, a sport at which he admittedly was not very good. He also enjoyed hanging out with his golf buddies and playing cards.

Memorial contributions may be made to family Hospice and Palliative Care, New Castle.
