Leo J. Willman
Leo J. Willman, Jr., 79, of West Hempfield Twp., passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at home after an extended illness. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Leo J. Willman and Charlotte Louise (Humer) Willman. Leo grew up at Milton Hershey Boys School.
A member of the U.S. Marine Corps, he later served in Iraq as an electrician. He worked in many positions at the Farfield Company and as a Leadership Educator for Associated Builders & Contractors. A self-taught life-long learner, Leo believed that attitude is everything. He enjoyed hiking, S.C.U.B.A., skydiving, and flying airplanes. A mountain climber, his greatest achievement was Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa.
Leo is survived by his son, Leo J. Willman, III of Plymouth Meeting, and daughters Cathleen L. Spleen and her husband Frank of Landisville, Cindy Willman-Kinsey and her husband Derek of Lancaster, and Jessica LeBlanc and her husband Michael of Rising Star, TX. Also surviving are his grandchildren Paris Ciccone and her husband Jeff, Vienna Willman, Dhyana Stanley, Donavin Stanley, Jessica Spleen, Kevin Brown II, Joshua Brown, and Judaea Josephine LeBlanc; his great-grandchildren, Riley Jo Brown and Cody George Brown.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service which will take place at 12:00 Noon on Friday, April 27, 2018, at Hempfield United Methodist Church, 3050 Marietta Avenue, Lancaster, PA 17601, where the family will receive guests beginning at 11:00 AM. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
