Merlyn W. Wildermuth
Merlyn W. Wildermuth, 80, of East Hanover Township, Dauphin County passed away Thursday, July 30, 2015 in the Carolyn Croxton Slane Residence.
Born October 6, 1934 in Auburn, he was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Mary Wildermuth, son, Raymond “Butch” Wildermuth, grandson, Alex Lee, and brother, Lamar Wildermuth.
He graduated from Milton Hershey School, class of 1952, Hershey Junior College, class of 1954, and the General Motors Institute with a Bachelor’s of Industrial Engineering Degree. He served in the U.S. Army from 1958-1960, retired from General Motors, and was then self employed.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Lou Burian; daughter, Cindy, wife of Bill Hastings of Alabama; son Bryan, husband of Jetta Wildermuth of Ohio; stepsons, Robert Hilderbrand, Jeffrey Burian, and Thomas Burian; stepdaughters, Pam Foreman and Shirley Martin; many grandchildren; step grandchildren; great grandchildren; and nephews Mark Wildermuth and Lee Wildermuth.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday in Hershey Cemetery. Viewing 12:30 – 1:30 PM at Buse Funeral Home, 9066 Jonestown Road, Grantville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Pennsylvania, Carolyn Croxton Slane Residence, 1701 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
