Edward W. Why
Edward William Why, of Warminster,formerly of Daytona Beach,Fla. passed away 9-2-2010. He was 84. Born in Phila., he was the son of the late Edward and Elizabeth (nee Snear) Why.
Mr. Why was a Navy veteran, serving in WWII and Korea. He was a graduate of the Milton Hershey School and Penn State University. He also served on the Centenial School District School Board. He was a member of the Warminster Fire Dept., the American Legion, VFW (post 1590 Daytona Beach, Fla.) and was a mason, belonging to the W.K. Bray Lodge 410.
He was the husband of the late Marie (nee Denning) Why and companion to the late Dorothy Broomall. Father of Neil (Beth) Why of Phoenixville, Denise (Gil) Matthews of Pipersville, Drew (Ruth) Why of Chalfont and Bill Peterson of Warminster. 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren also survive.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service on Wednesday, 9-8-2010 at 10:00 am at the Christ Home Retirement Community, 1220 W. Street Rd., Warminster, Pa. 18974. Friends will be received from 9:00 am till time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made Christ Home Retirement Community at the above address or to the Milton Hershey School, Box 830, Hershey, Pa. 17033, Class of 1943 In Mr. Why’s memory.
