Robert R. Thomas
Robert R. Thomas, 90, formerly of Lincoln Park and a former resident of The Rittenhouse, passed away on Monday, June 2nd, 2014 at Manor Care in Laureldale.
His wife, Madelyn C. (Scheipe) Thomas, died April 30, 2013.
Born in Wiconisco, PA, on May 29, 1924, he was the son of the late Newell W. and Hazel L. (Boeckler) Thomas.
He was a 1942 graduate of Milton Hershey High School, attended Albright College for two years, and earned an Accounting Degree in 1964 from the Wharton Extension of the University of Pennsylvania.
He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII. Robert was employed by the Dana Parish for 31 years, retiring in 1979.
He is survived by two sons, James K. Thomas, husband of Sylvia, Wyomissing; and David R. Thomas, husband of Debra, Mohnton; a daughter, Jo Ann, wife of Larry Green, Wyomissing; a sister, Florence M. Floyd, Frederick, PA; and six grandchildren: Lauren Thomas; Kristen, wife of Todd Mays; Elizabeth Green; Caroline Green; Christopher Thomas; and Robert Thomas.
Services are private at the convenience of family. Lamm & Witman Funeral Home, Inc., Wernersville is handling arrangements.
