Calvin E. Reed 80 of Harrisburg, died Monday, November 13, 2017 at Hershey Medical Center.

Calvin was born in Altoona, the son of the late Roy Calvin Reed and Mary Helen (Ebright) Reed. He worked as an engineer and retired from Tyco after 54 years of service. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force he also served with the National Guard, from which he also retired. He attended Capital Bible Church.

Calvin was predeceased by his sister, Evelyn Stoner; his brothers, Richard Reed and Kenneth Reed.

Calvin is survived by his wife of 50 years, Ada (Henninger) Reed; his daughter, Amanda (Jared) Risser of Mercersburg; his sons, Nathaniel (Sharon) Reed of Bala Cynwyd and Matthew (Julia) Reed of Tyrone; eight grandchildren; his sister, Louise Hampton of Ohio.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 25, 2017 at 11:30 A.M. at the Capital Bible Church, 100 N. Hershey Road, Harrisburg. Pastors Bill Haken and Derek Thrush will be officiating.

Visitation will be held on Saturday from 11:00-11:30 A.M., prior to the service.
