Sewell “Stu” P. Moore, Jr., was born in Philadelphia, PA on April 23, 1926. He died October 25, 2012, at Virginia Beach Healthcare and Rehab Center. He is survived by his daughter, Carole of Ocala, FL; his brother, Bert and wife Lorraine of Lancaster, PA; and nieces and nephews.
He served in the US Navy during World War II aboard the destroyer, USS Bennett. He later worked on oil rigs off the New Orleans coast, then the YMCA. He retired to Virginia Beach, where he worked at Food Lion and attended Virginia Beach Community Chapel until his health failed him.
A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at Virginia Beach Healthcare and Rehab. Condolences may be offered to the family at .
