Earl T. Field
Earl T. Field, 63, of Middletown, entered into eternal rest on September 30, 2011 at Community General Osteopathic Hospital, Harrisburg, after a brief illness. He was born to the late Robert and Dorothy (Stebick) Field on June 14, 1948 in Camden, New Jersey. He graduated from Milton Hershey School in 1967 and entered the U.S. Air Force after graduation.
Earl was employed with several companies in the credit collection services. His most recent employment being with Commonwealth Credit Services.
He was actively involved with the Make-A-Wish Foundation and passionate about the assistance provided for those with disabilities by the Center for Independent Living. He was an active member of the Ebenezer United Methodist Church, Middletown, and a member of American Legion #594, Middletown.
Though Earl was an avid Penn State and Steeler fan, his greatest pleasures were his wife, children, grandchildren, father and mother-in-law. He enjoyed cooking and baking.
In addition to his parents Earl was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Field in infancy; brother, Robert Field; maternal grandparents Leo and Theodora Klein; paternal grandparents, Raymond and Josephine Field. Earl is survived by his loving wife, Jen Myers Field; two children, son, Kenneth and wife Jennifer Field of Enola; daughter, Krystle and husband Abimael Horta-Rodriquez of Harrisburg; three grandchildren, Lillian Field, Lucas Field and Isabella Horta-Rodriquez; brother, Raymond and wife Patricia Field of Johnsonburg; sister, Linda and husband Eugene Facchine of Ridgway; father and mother-in-law, Melvin C. and Joyce Myers of Campbelltown; Karen Field, mother of children; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 in his church at 890 Ebenezer Rd., Middletown with the Rev. John Overman, officiating.
Burial will be the United Christian Cemetery, Palmyra.
Viewing will be from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., Wednesday at the church.
