Robert Murray Patton, 72 of Palmyra, PA passed away Friday August 20, 2010. Bob was born June 9, 1938 in Kittanning PA. He entered the Milton Hershey School when he was 10 years old. He graduated from Milton Hershey School and subsequently returned after attending Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, to stay until his recent retirement.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents Murray Helm Patton and Harriette Hulings Patton. He is survived by his loving wife Nancy Jane. He is also survived by three children, Virginia Patton, wife of William Sussman, Riverdale, NY, Michael Patton, husband of Suzanne Patton, Hershey, PA, John Patton, husband of Susan-Williams-Patton, Lancaster, PA, and two stepchildren, David Lerch, husband of Amy Lerch, South Riding, VA and Patricia Hughes, wife of David Hughes, Lancaster, PA. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Jeremiah, Brandie, Karen, and Ashley as well as two step grandchildren, Jack and Sam, and three great grandchildren, Dante, Blaire, and Elijah Robert.

Bob belonged to the Milton Hershey Alumni Association, Brownstone Lodge NO. 666, F. & A.M., Weidel Royal Arch Chapter NO. 197, Lebanon Council No. 27 of the Royal & Select Master Masons, Hermit Commandery NO. 24 Knights Templar Elizabethtown, Harrisburg Chapter of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, and Packer Partners. He was an avid sportsman, and a proud stockholder in the Green Bay Packers. He loved exercising, listening to music, experiencing new horizons on the computer, watching movies, and being with his faithful dog, Megan. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, great storyteller, a mentor to many at the Milton Hershey School, and the Biggest Green Bay Packer fan there ever was. His cry “Go Pack Go” will be heard every fall.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his Masonic service followed by his memorial service at The Purcell Friendship Hall, 109 McCorkel Road, Hershey, PA, 717-520-2045, on Sunday October 10, 2010 at 2:00 P.M.
