Robert E. Kershner, 66, of Hershey, formerly of Williamsport, died Monday, December 5, 2011. He was born August 3, 1945 in Williamsport, son of the late Harrington Wellington Kershner II and Marjorie E. (Dunlap) Kershner. Robert was Milton Hershey School graduate and was a self employed drywall contractor and later worked for Kelly Systems. He served in the U.S. Army reserves and was a Hershey American Legion #386 and Hershey V.F.W. Post 3502. Bob is survived by six brothers; Philip of Hershey; Ed of Palmyra; Richard of Middleburg; H.W. “Duke”, Frederick, and Frank of all of Montoursville. He was preceded in death by a sister, Anne Sherman and his companion of many years, Mary Ann Myers.

A time of remembrance services will be held Friday, December 9, 2011, at 11:00 a.m., in the Hoover Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., Rt. 422 & Lucy Avenue, Hershey. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions are made to American Heart Association , Suite 100, 1019 Mumma Road, Lemoyne, PA 17043-1146.
