Richard G. High
Richard G. High Sr., 79, of Camillus passed away Sunday at home. Born in Pottstown, PA, he was a Camillus resident for the past several years. Dick was district manager for Scott Paper Company before retiring in 1987 after 30 years with thecompany. He was a graduate of Ursinus College, and he served with the U.S. Navy Seabees in the Pacific during W.W. II. Dick has been active in various military, political and community organizations.
His first wife, Theda, died in 1989, and his son, Richard (Rick) Jr., died in 1999. Surviving are his wife of 11 years, the former Barbara Steele McGowan; son, David; daughter, Cindy High-Fischmann, and husband Robert; Curt Lienemann; brother, David; sister, Patty; grandchildren: Corey and Brett Fischmann; stepdaughter, Suzanne McGowan; stepson, Michael McGowan; four stepgrandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, March 25, in St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 5402 West Genesee Street, Camillus. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of CNY, 990 7th North Street, Liverpool, NY 13088.
