Richard E. Dewalt
Richard E. Dewalt, 73, of Palm Street, Hershey, died Friday, June 13, 2008 at his home. Born March 19, 1935 in Berwick, he was a son of the late Harry T. and Marie T. (Markle) Dewalt.
He retired from The Hershey Company with 35 years service, was a member of Chocolate Workers Union Local 464, enjoyed having breakfast with friends, spending time at the softball field, old western movies, singing, hunting, fishing, and especially his grandchildren.
He was the widower of Nancy M. (Ail) Dewalt, who died in 2002 and also preceded in death by a son, Richard E. Dewalt, Jr. and brother, Ronald W. Dewalt.
Surviving are three children, Michael L., husband of Kathy Dewalt, Craig A., husband of Wendy Dewalt, and Carol L. Poling, all of Palmyra; brother, Frederick H. Dewalt of Bloomsburg; sister, Peggy A. Kramer of Berwick; and grandchildren, Nicole Dewalt, Craig Dewalt II, Kaitlynn Dewalt, and Matthew Dewalt.
Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at Spring Creek Church of the Brethren, 335 East Areba Avenue, Hershey, preceded by a viewing from 10 a.m. Burial will be in the adjoining Spring Creek Cemetery.
