Marshall Lee Nixon was born November 20, 1953, in Pittsburgh, PA. He was among one of the first African Americans to graduate from the Milton Hershey School. A former basketball player, Marshall loved music, especially jazz, and he enjoyed tinkering with any and all things. He was (a “goodie”), especially sweets.

Marshall leaves to celebrate his life his companion, Sheila Smith; a stepdaughter, Elayne Price (Todd); stepsons, Gene Brown, Joe Smith, R. Doug Smith (Denelle), all of Harrisburg; 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and a host of other family members, friends and loved ones. The family will host a Celebration of Life Gathering at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 17, 2017, on the back lawn of 1001 N. 17th Street, Harrisburg, PA, 17103.
