Ivan Nevin Dietrich, 90, of Annandale, VA, formerly of Hershey, PA, passed away on May 4, 2015 in his home. He was born July 11, 1924 in Fleetwood, PA, son of the late Nevin Emanuel and Annie (Eckert) Dietrich.

Ivan was a proud Milton Hershey Industrial School graduate of 1942; he also went on to Dickenson College for his BA, and Columbus School of Law at the Catholic University of America. He served in the U.S. Army Airborne during World War II, and after the War he served in the Pennsylvania Air National Guard.

As an active member of the Milton Hershey School Alumni Association, he was named Alumnus of the Year in 1988. Other memberships included the American Legion; Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Annandale, Virginia ( & a member of their Choir); Little Run Civic Association (Board Member); Osher Lifelong Learning Institute; Committee Member Boy Scout Troop 873; and the Bar of the District of Columbia.

Ivan is survived by: wife, Nancy M. Dietrich; daughter, Cora Dietrich Koller (William J.); son, John A. Dietrich (Andrea M.); grandchildren, Edward A. Koller, Adeline K. Dietrich, and Adam J. Dietrich; step-children, Robert F. Godec (Lori), Mark S. Godec, and James M. Godec (Elyse); sisters, Ruth Santucci and Agnes Breidegam; and a brother Lloyd Dietrich.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Mafalda (Muffie) Dietrich; a brother Ray Dietrich; and his granddaughter Elizabeth Koller.

There will be a Memorial Service on Friday, May 8, 2015 at 11 AM in the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 8922 Little River Turnpike, Fairfax, VA 22031.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 11:00 am in the Hoover Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., Route 422 & Lucy Avenue, in Hershey, PA 17033. A visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Hershey Cemetery.
