Harold L. Godshall, 87, formerly of East Petersburg, PA, and more recently a resident of Homestead Village, died unexpectedly on Monday, August 11, 2008 in the ER at LGH. Born February 9, 1921, in Hatfield, PA, he was the son of the late Harvey and Bertha (Long) Godshall. He was married to Blanche E. (Fletcher) Godshall on April 18, 1945. Mrs. Godshall passed away on May 1, 1998. A Veteran of WWII, Harold proudly served with the U.S. Marine Corps in Guadalcanal. An avid outdoorsman, Harold enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, bird-watching and spending time with his family. He was a member of the Lancaster Optimist Club, the NRA, an active member of Trinity UCC Church in East Petersburg, and the Elizabethtown American Legion Post #329 for over 52 years. He retired from Intel Printing in Lancaster after 46 years of service.

He is survived by a daughter, Lynne A. Yancha, companion of Candy Kirch, of Mount Pleasant Mills; a son, Dr. Harold L. Godshall, husband of Joni (Gregor) Godshall, of Lancaster; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at the Trinity United Church of Christ, 2340 State Street, East Petersburg, PA 17520, on Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at 3 PM with the Rev. Harry G. Royer officiating. Interment will be in the Trinity United Church of Christ Church Cemetery, East Petersburg, PA. Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to view at the church between 2 and 3 PM on Wednesday. Please omit flowers, Memorial Remembrances can be made in Harold’s memory to the Memorial Fund of Trinity United Church of Christ. Arrangements Entrusted to the Andrew T.
