Harold A. Houseal, 83, of Elizabethtown, passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at home. Born in East Donegal Twp., he was the son of the late Edgar and Henrietta (Arnold) Houseal. He was the husband of Janet R. (Lancaster) Houseal. They were married for 56 years in September 2011.

Harold was a member of St. Luke Episcopal Church in Mount Joy. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He retired in 1989 from the New Cumberland Army Depot after 32 years. He previously was employed by the Marietta Transportation Corps and Olmsted Air Force Base. Harold was a life member of the Milton Hershey School Alumni. He enjoyed going on day trips with the Elizabethtown Senior Citizens, spending time at home and at Rehoboth Beach, DE.

In addition to his wife Janet, he is survived by a sister Doris, wife of Kenneth Barnhart, Maytown and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his step-father Russel Bostic and a sister Betty Becker.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, February 13, 2012 at St. Luke Episcopal Church, 209 South Market Street, Mount Joy, PA 17552 at 2:00 PM. Friends may call on Sunday at Miller/Sekely Funeral Services, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown from 6:30-8:30 PM. There will be no viewing on Monday.
