Gerald A. “Jerry” Sprenkle, 86, formerly of Snavely Rd., Elizabethtown, passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at the Hershey Medical Center.

He was the husband of R. Jean Ziegler Sprenkle. Born in Chester County, he was the son of the late John and Kathryn Sprenkle. Jerry was a graduate of Milton Hershey High School.

He was a truck driver, a member of the PA Motor Trucking Association and later in life worked as a Fuel Tax consultant to several trucking companies.

He was a member of West Greentree Church of the Brethren, Elizabethtown. Jerry’s love for singing was brought to life as a member of his church choir and the Hershey Chorus.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Dorothea E. Walsh and her husband Paul of Telford, PA and Cynthia A. Santoro and her husband Kermit J. Rishell of Lancaster; 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 3 sisters, 2 brothers and his son-in-law, Joseph M. Santoro.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Jerry’s Life Celebration on Saturday, December 7th at 10:00am at Coble-Reber Funeral Home, 208 N. Union St., Middletown, with Pastor Mick Allen officiating. Interment will be in Middletown Cemetery. Viewing will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:00am until time of service.
