G. Grant Edwards
Grammer G. Edwards 64 of Fulton, MO passed away at his home on Sunday, April 26, 2009. He was born January 8, 1945 in Philadelphia, PA, son of the late Grammer Grant and Nathilla Edwards. On May 18, 1991, he was united in marriage to Sandra (Carman) Edwards who survives at home.
Grant’s attendance of Milton Hershey Schools in Hershey, PA from age 10 until high school graduation in 1962 was the source of many valued friendships. He completed his college education at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. Grant enjoyed a successful career in Human Resources management, working many years at both The Hartford and Fireman’s Fund Insurance Companies, and retiring from Barnes Jewish Hospital in 2002. He and his wife moved to Fulton, MO in September 2008. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Fulton. He was an avide fan of the game of golf, and in his retirement enjoyed cooking and traveling.
Memorial services will be 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 1 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Fulton with Pastor David Mueller officiating. Family will be receiving friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. A future private enterment will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Bolivar, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions, for the benefit of future graduates of Milton Hershey School, may be made to the William E. Dearden Alumni Campus, c/0 Maupin Funeral Home, 301 Douglas Boulevard, Fulton MO 65251.
