David Lawrence White, 76, of Clarks Summit, Pa., died Sunday morning, October 20, 2013 at his home. Born in Newton Twp.,he was the son of the late Lawrence and Rose Hunt White. He was a US Army veteran and was a self-employed truck driver who hauled for many companies over the years . “Whitey”, as he was known by his friends, enjoyed dining with his buddies at the truck stop and local diners. He also enjoyed fishing in his spare time.

Surviving is a brother-in-law Anton Ferdinand, Wheaton, IL; two nieces Linda Marker, Joliet, IL, and Barbara Gallo and her husband Tom, Carol Stream, IL; a nephew Tony Ferdinand, Wheaton, IL; many cousins, and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister Beverly Ferdinand and a nephew-in-law William Marker.

A funeral service will be held Saturday at 10am from the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Service Inc., 418 S. State St. Clarks Summit Pa. 18411, with Services by Rev. Brent Stauffer, pastor of the Clarks Green United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Shady Lane Cemetery, Chinchilla. Friends may call Friday from 3 to 7 pm at the funeral home.
