no obituary available as of 3.11.19 below is from the East Shore YMCA. ?? A few words on the passing of our colleague and friend, David Pepka:

David Pepka was a valued and well known staff member of the East Shore YMCA since August 2006. He began working part-time at the service desk and went on to be full-time at the front desk, working third shift and being a recognizable face for early morning Y members and staff for many years. He especially loved the day care children, greeting them by name as they came in and getting many hugs in return. David was a talented magician and musician as well. He had a reputation for amazing many people in the central PA community with various magic tricks. David also played the trombone with “No Last Call” throughout the Harrisburg community for many years. David was born on June 20, 1974. He graduated from the Milton Hershey School. He had numerous health issues over the past several years, though his outlook was always positive. These problems ultimately contributed to his untimely death on March 4, 2019.

We hope you rest in peace, David. You will be missed. Y members and staff are invited to a memorial gathering on Friday, March 15th from 7:00-8:00 am in the AOA room to remember Dave. This is separate from an official memorial service that will be announced at a later date.
