Christopher A. Fisher, 43, of Ballston Spa, passed away Thursday, October 7, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, April 6, 1967, he was the son of the late Glen and Helen Fisher. He served in the U.S. Navy .

Chris was an underwriter engineer for Aegis Insurance Co. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ballston Spa.

He enjoyed kayaking, biking, golfing, fishing and skiing. His passion was photography. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. Chris was a respected co-worker and friend. He was a giving person and was always there to lend a helping hand. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He was predeceased by his daughter, Amanda Fisher.

Christopher is survived by his loving wife, Suzanne Fisher; his children, Stephen Fisher and Meghan Fisher of Ballston Spa; brother, Clark Fisher and his companion, Lonnie and their daughter, Emily of Johnstown, PA; mother and father-in-law, Monica and Gary Paige; brothers-in-law, Gary Paige, Jr. and his wife, Wendy, and Christopher Paige and his wife, Meghan. Christopher was the beloved uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 13, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Milton Avenue, Ballston Spa, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial with full military honors will follow at the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Duell Road, Town of Saratoga. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at Armer Funeral Home, Inc., 39 East High Street, Ballston Spa.

Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Saratoga, 179 Lawrence Street, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866. The family would like to thank Joyce Crawford and the Hospice staff for their care and compassion.
