Charles A.”Chuck” Esworthy, Jr., 69, of Hegins, passed away Sunday, April 1, 2012 at his residence, while surrounded by his loving family,.

He was born May 29, 1943 in Harrisburg, the son of the late Charles A., Sr. and Constance (Wolfe) Esworthy.

Charles was raised at the Milton Hershey School and served in the U.S. Airforce.

Surviving is his wife, Shirley L. (Manning) Esworthy; two daughters, both of Palmyra; three step-daughters, Sherry L. Comer of Harrisburg, Danae L. Fox of Middletown and Deanne M. Rudy of Middletown; three step-sons, Harry L. Comer, Jr. of Elizabethville, Dana M. Comer of Hegins and Darwin L. Comer of Middletown; his sister, Sandra F. Kimmey of Harrisburg; and several grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert E. Esworthy and Terry L. Esworthy; and his sister, Patricia A. Conti.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Friday, April 6, 2012, at the Zimmerman-Auer Funeral Home, Inc., 4100 Jonestown Rd., Harrisburg, PA.

There will be a viewing from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
