Brooks E. Kennedy
Brooks Eugene Kennedy, 74, of Camp Hill, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 24, 2011 at home surrounded by his family.
Born November 25, 1936 in Mifflintown, PA, he was a son of the late Harry and Mildred (Kepner) Kennedy.
Mr. Kennedy retired from Bethlehem Steel on January 31, 1998 after 30 years of service. He was a Zone Man of USWA 1688 for many years. A charter member of the Enola Sportmen’s Association, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and golf. He was also a Penn State and Washington Redskins fan. He was preceded in death by a brother, Rodney M. Kennedy and a sister, Bernette M. Feher.
Surviving are his wife of nearly 55 years, Iris Kennedy; four sons, Scott A. Kennedy and his companion Susan Fisher of Enola; Brooks T. Kennedy of Enola; Michael T. Kennedy and his wife, Lisa, of Dillsburg; and Mark D. Kennedy of Altamonte Springs, FL; a daughter, Amy Jo Berkheimer, and her husband, Bob, of Shermans Dale; two brothers, Gary Kennedy and his wife Carole of Hummelstown and Dennis Kennedy and his wife Helen Rae of Harrisburg; a sister-in-law, Donna Kennedy of Lewistown and a daughter-in-law Merry E. Fetterhoff; 11 Grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. There will be no viewing or visitation.
